Sync stuck at 97.1%

Everything was going so well until i got to 97.1% synced.

In fact, my wallet shows my first transaction, so i'm guessing that its just a glitch on the software??

Anyway, i'd like to transfer more funds to my wallet and would like to know is there a fix to finalise the sync process?

It'll just take a while, unless something else is broken. I'm assuming it's all OK by now, as you posted this more than a day ago.

BTW it helps if you can run the Sia blockchain on an SSD instead of a hard disk.

in fact it is now 96.9% synced, haha
seems to be going backwards now

so, how might i run the blockchain on an ssd? in stead of a hard disk? can you explain please? would that be quicker?

Something appears to be stuck at your end, did you try rebooting?

If you have an SSD but are not using it, then re-configure Sia to use it for the blockchain. Not sure how you would do that on Windows, you may have to read the documentation and play around with it. SSD is way faster than HDD, people never report problems with SSD but all the time with HDD.

Is the globe yellow in colour? If it is, then maybe left it there for an hour to see if the sync will complete itself?

You can type "consensus" in the terminal of sia-ui to check the blocknumber of your sync and compare the number to https://siastats.info/. If the number shown is there is the same as your wallet, then you are fully synced.
