Sent SC from Bittrex to "unsaved" SIA Receiving Adress .....

  • Hey folks .....

problem is simple, I sent 2000 SC as a test from Bittrex to SC Wallet Adress. Because nothing is really explained I just sent it to the shown adress ..... the transfer in Bittrex is show as completed but no coins are here yet .... I'm full synchronized.

Are my coins lost because I missed to hit SAVE in my Wallet ???

Really shit from Sia Team .... After setting up it should show sime wizard to help new users .....

Please give me a feedback about my issue ...

  • Hi, having a similar issue. Yet I did "save" my address before sending from Bittrex. Coins don't show up, yet wallet fully sync. Any solution/comment? Thanks!

  • Same here, they do a shit job of explaining how to use the wallet, hopefully they have a solution.

@DerjungeHErr your wallet must be fully synced to see the balance. also tx times can be over an hour right now. AND bittrex fails to send a lot of coins even when it says completed. so if you don't have your coins after 24 hours report it to bittrex. we have no control over it.

Make sure you tag me @bryan if you need to me respond.
Forum Mod. I cannot fix transactions. I can't help with Mac or Linux.

Unofficial Web Based Siacoin Wallet. No more syncing.

  • How long does it take for mined SIA to show up in one's wallet?

  • @DerjungeHErr hey man, I did the exact same thing!
Did you end up getting your sia?

  • @bryan I too had the same issue

Basically, I thought that the address shown was the address for my Sia hardwallet and had not clicked "Done" but I didn't realize it.

I sent 1,000 sia from my Poloniex account to the hard wallet address, as a test. After I hit "Done", then my wallet started to synchronize.

My wallet is fully synchronized now. No coins. Are my coins gone?

  • As long as you were sending to your sia wallet address, and the transaction was properly broadcast to the blockchain, your sia will be there. The exchanges have issues with proper broadcasting of sia transactions and this needs to be addressed with them. bittrex has great support!

    @DerjungeHErr
You can view all the address associated with your seed by typing "wallet addresses" in the terminal of sia-ui. Check if the address is there.

  • Check your TXID here: https://explore.sia.tech

    • If you can find the TXID, the transaction is completed and the problem is on the receiver side.
    • If you cannot find the TXID, then the transaction is not completed and is not on the blockchain, the problem is on the sender side.
