Lost folders?

  • Hi SIA folks, I'm hosting since close to a year and today a windows update took my PC down and I was unable to get the wallet/host up running.

    I browsed the log file:

    (2/6) Loading consensus...

error while loading contract manager atomic data: error loading the contract manager settings file: unable to read persisted json object from disk: unexpected end of JSON input

....and concluded the contractmanager had an issue. It is now regenerated (by renaming the corrupted). Wallets shows my my 335 contracts and expected earnings, BUT my previous 2(two) folders seem not connected - any hint on how to re attach the drives and keep on from where it stumpled, please... I have NOT remapped any drive, since that would evntually overwrite everything.. . I'm on 1.3.0 A starting point for me would be to look how any other contractmanager.json looks to see if I can repair my version manually...

  • @larsfloe
See my thought on the other thread.

The contract manager settings are too long to write manually...
I see 2 files that appear to be exactly same in host\contractmanager\.
    contractmanager.json and contractmanager.json_temp.
Maybe you can look into them and/or look for them in your shadow copies... and figure out which one could be usable.

  • @reinisp : thanx for the tip... I think the one is a working copy of the other,. So when you client is running the contractmanager.json becomes the new contractmanager.json_temp, meaning that after the first iteration the latest usable version is replaced. I deleted the contractmanager.json to get the client running, so the contractmanager.json_temp. would now be it's evil twin not containing the neede link to my files/folders, but I'll have anohter look :-) ..
