Hardware for SIA?
-
Hello, I want to start SIA mining and have two questions about hardware setup:
- I read that Nvidia GTX 1070 is better choice than Radeon RX 580 doing SIA mining.
- To setup Radeon for mining is easier than doing tricks in linux with Nvidia.
I would like to buy hardware and setup quite easy. I saw on internet post how one dude configured and tweaked Linux, drivers to get Nvidia perform faster. And some people commented that with Radeon it would be just some clikcs. So maybe I need to go with AMD for easier setup? Any comments will be welcome.

Don't buy GPUs for SIA mining, as @reinisp explained in the other thread. If you'd like to enter mining, go to some of the specialized mining forums or reddits, and see what they recommend.
It's different if you already have a GPU, then go to some of the GPU mining comparison website, and check which currency is most profitable to mine.
Or, if you would like to support the Sia network until the Miners are released, use your existing GPU to mine Sia, no questions asked!

Understood. Is Obelisk the only one minder planned to this day?

@driftux It is the only one as far as I know. I'd welcome some competition to keep hardware prices down.
