Verifying working host?

  • I set this host up a few days ago to use some spare space I have on my server (Ubuntu 16.04). Figured it would be a few days before I saw any sort of activity. Now I am curious if I have thing set up correctly. Some of my concerns are as follow.

    1. I am noticing a 0 historic uptime on Siahub. Is this stat broken or a sign of issues?
    2. I see some FormContract calls but no data being used?
    3. Opening host.log I see error :Failed to add storage obligation, transaction set was not accepted: consensus conflict: provided transaction set is standalone and invalid: transaction spends a nonexisting siacoin output - My wallet shows open and has ~10k coins is this on my end or the renters?

  • Everything looks to be running as good as can be expected. To answer your questions:

    1. Yep, I think it's a bug. My uptime on the site doesn't work either
    2. Renter data will slowly trickle in. You will gradually see space get consumed
    3. I've seen that too but since I'm not a guru and everything appears to be working as intended even if some stats are out of whack so I don't worry.

As you approach the monthly anniversary of each of your contracts, some SC should move from expected (potential fee compensation) into your wallet. In the meantime you should see your expected compensation move up slowly as time goes on once some data is stored on your computer.

  • Thank you for the input. Today I started getting some data used. Took about 7 days for anything to start. I will monitor the other stats and see if anything else shows up.
