'Scanning the Blockchain...'

I've been mining under a wallet address that I generated when I first downloaded the Sia-UI(Before the synch completed). Now that it is fully synched when I try to log into the wallet, I enter the password and it 'unlocks the wallet' and gets stuck on 'Scanning the Blockchain'..It has been here for about an hour. Should I reinstall, wait for it to fully synch before I create a wallet? I just want to make sure I am mining to the correct wallet's address

Address are tied to your wallet (which is tied to your seed.)
You don't need to be fully synced to receive payouts to your address.
If you have a slow HDD, waiting an hour isn't unreasonable. Upgrading to 1.3 may change the speed of your unlocking.

@xurious I use M.2 and gigabit internet maybe that's why I never notice the syncing problems. I never considered that some people would have slower hardware. Good info.

Syncing on a laptop hdd or 5900rpm drive takes ages.
