need help :(

  • Hello, I bought 8000 coins, first they were visible in the history and now they are no longer there, I can not restore the seed, because I have the password as seed stored, can someone help me?

    what can I do?

  • @lokko82
You mean you didn't write down or copypaste the seed somewhere?
If so, I'm afraid, no one can help you and if you transferred any coins to an address belonging to that wallet (seed), you (and the whole world) have lost them... until someone manages to crack/guess the seed

  • @reinisp

Hi, so of course I have written them, but the password and the seed are always the same! I have now 4 x the wallet re-installs and always when I recovern them comes this message ????

    Sia-UI Wallet Error
error when calling /wallet/sweep/seed: cannot sweep primary seed

  • You are importing the seed to the wallet created from the same seed.
You should close Sia --> "quit" in tray Sia icon or restart computer.

    Rename "WALLET" folder in:
    (WIN) %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Sia-UI\sia
    (LINUX) ~/.config/Sia-UI/sia/
    (Mac) ~/Library/Application Support/Sia-UI/sia/

Run Sia UI 1.2.2 then click "Load a wallet from a seed" and enter your seed backup.
This will create new wallet based on your seed. Sync wallet, unlock wallet.

  • Is it normal that the password is always exactly the same as the seed?

In addition, what is the bad programming ????? If I can not normal about the seed the wallet recovern ??? That does not trust

  • If you check checker during creating wallet, that you want custom password , then you have password for opening wallet and different seed for recover wallet. Later should be possible to change the password in existing wallet too.

  • So, first of all I would like to thank you for your effort :) in the beginning I could in the creation of a new wallet, a different password choose. This option is no longer displayed to me. As soon as I create a new wallet, only the default password and the seed come.
