  I reply to myself ....
  After digging in files, I spotted folders in ressources/app/sia named host, renter, consensus ...
  they contains databases for blockcjhain, hosts and renters info ...
  The weird thing was that I've many versions of these folders located in the SIA-UI installation directory
  AND in <username>/appData/roaming/SIA-UI ....

  after different trials, the files in this folder might be the correct ones, as I have retrieved my SIA's storage folder and the UI shows 8 contracts , but the correct amount expected and storage used ....

  INext time , I'll try the update feature in the App ...

  1.3 is out.

  Start with that. I'm not sure if you can copy the consensus file from 1.2 to 1.3. However for restoring you seed, you don't need your consensus fully loaded.

  You can't yet.
  You can set the password different from seed only once and it is at the wallet creation time.
  So the only way for you would be to create a new wallet (with password different from seed), get an address from the new wallet, transfer your coins to the new wallet and forget about the old one.

  That is if you are not renting or hosting.

  So I managed to get it to work.

  I had to download the Sia Daemon from the sia tech site - http://sia.tech/apps/

  the only problem now is that I have to manually run siad before running sia-ui otherwise I get the above error message

  So if anyone can answer the following question

  How do I get siad to run seamlessly when opening sia-ui ?

  Really appreciate any help on this

  @Sanasol you are right but i made another small transfer of Sia coins from polo to bittrex and that was successful and on first one in Polo Processing tag showing what does it mean?
